Brygette of Bamboche World Cuisine at Northside Italian Centre

Those of you familiar with Brygette McNamara's line of dips, seen at the City market throughout the season, will be pleased to learn that Brygette's products are now available at the Italian Centre on the north side. (That's at 10878-95th Street 780-424-4869.) The dips for sale are Fetaterranean (a feta cheese based dip), the Shiraz with Portabello (my personal fav) and Parmigiana Reggiano. You might have seen Brygette demonstrating the products in the store over the last few months.

Fresh Panettone Bread at the Italian Centre

Owner Teresa Spinelli says that both locations of the Italian Centre Shops are carrying fresh panettone bread (a traditional Italian Christmas bread), as well as fresh stollen (a traditional German Christmas bread) from now until the end of December for the holidays. The centre also carries a host of boxed, imported panettone in a variety of flavours (tiramisu, chocolate, lemon) which are ideal for hostess gifts during the season.

The north side location of the Italian Centre is 10878-95th Street 780-424-4869. The south side location is at 5028-104A Street 780-989-4869.

Kinsmen Sports Centre has a new eatery

So now once you've worked out HARD, you can have a refreshing fruit shake, including a Pina Cow Lada, with banana, coconut, and other healthy fillings. Breakfast options include a protein muffin ($3), or breakfast-in-a-glass with muesli and yogurt, or an egg wrap. Small meals like feta chicken and veggies, or a lime shrimp curry round out the menu.
