Dr. Duckett, CEO of Alberta Health Services, found his voice squeaking in indignation when reporters sought answers after today's meeting about Edmonton's emergency room crisis.
"I'm eating my cookie," said Duckett, refusing to comment.
It's a sad day for cookie lovers everywhere, who normally see those little discs as a source of comfort and, indeed, when combined with milk, joy. One can only hope that someday, Dr. Duckett will find himself instead, eating a little crow.
